Contact Lenses
Objectives:
Although modern lens types such as silicone hydrogel lenses have
provided the optometric patient with improved corneal
physiology, remaining issues of corneal infiltrates and
microbial keratitis continue to perplex the clinician. These and
other recent topics, clues from current research, and
controversies surrounding modern soft contact lens wear and care
will be discussed. Additionally, the clinician will gain
insight on how to fit challenging irregular cornea patients
using modern imaging techniques and specialty contact lenses
with creative contact lens solutions and post-operative care in
a grand rounds format.
