Course Description:

This course will explore many of the important parameters and challenges of creating esthetics and functional restorations supported by dental implants.  The clinical material presented will be a review of techniques used from single tooth to multiple teeth restorations.  New curriculum encompassing the incorporation of implants into treatment planning for partially edentulous restorations and full edentulous fixed restorations will be explored.  The material covered in each of the categories provides supporting clinical evidence covering a span of 18 years.

 

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, attendees will have a better understanding of the following:

  • Treatment planning for ideal esthetics and longevity

  • Ideal implant placement with bone sparing implant designs

  • Protocols for implant placement-immediate vs. delayed

  • Know when to load an implant and why-immediate vs. delayed

  • Be able to determine the best abutment for each implant esthetics vs. strength

  • Provisional abutments:  metal vs. plastic

  • Final abutment selection:  gold, ceramometal, ceramic

  • Tissue management with provisionals – to achieve predictable successful esthetic 

  • Consider aesthetics a workable solution for every anterior implant

  • In depth approach to interdisciplinary treatment planning – a stepwise analysis

  • Coordination of treatment for the complex implant patient

  • Comprehensive review of restorative implant options-single tooth to full mouth reconstruction

  • Complications and challenges with Restorative Implant Dentistry

  • Long term management- up to 18 years follow up

 Keith Progebin, D.D.S.

     A 1987 graduate of Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and in 1988 Dr. Progebin accepted a general practice residency program at Booth Memorial Hospital, New York.  In 1990 he graduated from a post graduate program in prosthodontics and received his certification in prosthetics at New York University School of Dentistry. 

      Dr. Progebin is a member of the American College of Prosthetics, Alpha Omega, Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association and the District of Columbia Dental Society.  He is past president of Maimonides Dental Society and is Co-President of the Renaissance Study Club. 

      Dr. Progebin has lectured extensively on restorative dentistry and implant prosthetics.  He maintains a private practice in Washington, D.C. with a strong emphasis in implants, esthetics and reconstructive dentistry.
