Provided primary eye care in a high-volume ophthalmology practice.  Daily activities included comprehensive eye examinations, therapeutic management of ocular disease and specialty contact lens fittings.

Consulting and Speaker’s Bureau responsibilities included lecturing to optometrists and opticians for the purpose of continuing education, lecturing to optometry students about Sola products and representing Sola to various optometric groups.

                                    Allegheny University Hospital Department of Ophthalmology, Philadelphia, PA

Primary care optometrist in an ophthalmology clinic in a teaching hospital.  Responsible for direct patient care, including co-management and consultation with ophthalmic surgeons.

Post-graduate training included extensive clinical and academic training in all areas of ophthalmic care under the direction of optometric and ophthalmic specialists and sub-specialists via clinical preceptorship, laboratory and didactic instruction, direct patient care, emergency services and specialty services.

Conducted pre- and post- operative examinations of patients selected for experimental presbyopia reversal surgery. Responsibilities included examination of patients, collection of clinical data, analysis of surgical efficacy, and evaluation of the validity of the underlying theory of accommodation.

Independent contractor at high-volume optometric chain.  Responsible for fee collection, insurance billing, inventory management and practice expansion.  Produced a 45% increase in patient examinations.
